My programs are designed for those who want to go deeper into their body and develop a strong foundation of knowledge around movement and embodiment. Together we will build a new story for you to live by and I will teach you techniques to build a strong, embodied life so that you can not only do what you want but also feel deeply connected to yourself.
Most people start developing a movement practice without first understanding what it takes to build a life where movement and embodiment is the priority. The way that we think and feel about our body is a crucial part of anyone's life and in my experience deciding to build a new story around our body and how we use it is one of the most important parts of building a sustainable and long lasting relationship with it. Together we will work on building a new story for your body that will help drive a lifestyle and mindset of self-connection and embodiment.
The foundation of any good movement practice is knowing how to feel yourself deeply. Through a variety of techniques, I will help you gain a deeper awareness of yourself and will teach you how to interpret and use the information you are receiving throughout your practice. Our work will focus on different ways of listening and speaking to your body so that you can feel good and move efficiently. I believe that being in your body can and should be a deep spiritual experience and so I aim to knock down any barriers preventing you from feeling this way.
One of the biggest variables deciding your movement quality is the health of your joints. When you start working with me, I will take you through a detailed assessment of any and all joints that are causing you issues and I will create a program that will help you regain function and range of motion in order to meet your needs.
If you'd like to participate in a sport or would like to accomplish any kind of physical feet, it's important to have the required strength and range of motion in your joints. I can help you train efficiently and build up the capacity of your joints in order to do what you want.
Movement practice is so much more than just learning exercises, it is the way that we interface with our entire life. Without movement there is no life so when we train movement we don't just lift weights, we explore many different ways of solving movement problems with our body. We look at how to interface with our environment, with objects, with other people, our internal environment and much more. Being a good mover means you find your weaknesses and train to improve them.
When we begin our work together we got through an extensive assessment to see how you move and why things may not be working the way they should. Based on this assessment I will design you a program to help you build the prerequisites in your body to do what you want to do in your life.
It's nearly impossible to achieve any level of physical aptitude or well being without organizing yourself around making time to move. Together we will take a look at how your life is currently organized and see if an how things need to be modified in order to get to you closer to the result you want. I will offer you lifestyle questions and prompts to help you build a life centred around your body and movement.
Every week we will meet and work on movements in your program and I will help you to understand at every step of the way why we are doing the work we are doing and what to expect as we move forward.
When learning how to move it can really tempting to skip to the flashy exercises and skip the basics. When we work together I will take you through the foundations of breathing, core bracing and joint maintenance. This not only will increase your success later when trying to do more complex movements but will also help you reduce injury and feel better in your body.

When I started working with Cam I actually had a really intense and acute injury in my knee. I had never had any body work from him before nor had I had training from him but I knew that we were both trained in the same methodology and mode of approach when it comes to tissue adaptation and I was curious and excited to learn more about my own body through his unique lens. We worked together for just a little over 2 months and the changes that I experienced in my body and in my being where nothing short of life changing.
It's funny because the intent was just to see how I train and how I want to train and get me from point A to point B, but the path in the middle was the greatest surprise and the most precious gem and all of it. I can tell you that I went from having intense pain and swelling, inability to keep weight in my heels, no internal hip rotation, and very little energy, and then 2 months later I'm sleeping better, I'm eating better, my relationships are better, I'm more honest with myself, I have more time, I'm doing less stuff that doesn't matter to me, my living environment is better, and Cam makes no promises or claims of that happening but that's what my experience was with him. I put in the work and Cam met me where I was at, really met me. -
